Senior Processing Geophysicist
In-Depth is an advanced seismic software development and services company with a global reach. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Seismic Time Processing professional to manage, and execute 2D and 3D land and marine time processing project workflows. This position will report to the Time Processing Manager as part of the time processing team.
Duties:
Execute 2D and 3D land or marine seismic time processing workflows using In-Depth's proprietary processing software suite.
Process seismic data using industry-standard and proprietary workflows such as RMO, Trimstatics, High-res Radon de-multiple, PSTM, etc.
Identify and explain ideal processing workflows and parameters based on each survey's unique characteristics and key client objectives.
Present detailed weekly status updates to clients and create comprehensive technical reports.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D seismic time processing.
Should be familiar with industry-standard processing tools such as PSTM, SRME, RMO, Radon, etc.
Experience with both onshore and offshore time processing.
Experience with first-break picking.
Strong English technical writing and oral presentation skills.
Knowledge of Python programming for data manipulation and analysis.
Familiarity with depth processing is a plus.
Experience with producing technical publications is a plus.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team environment, managing multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Precise attention to detail for QC of processing results.
Must be able and willing to learn and adjust to our unique proprietary technology suite, software, and workflows.
Must be located near Houston, TX with the ability to commute to our offices.
